I wasn’t expecting much for the price and that’s pretty much what I got. I followed the directions to soak them, wring them out, then dry in the dryer on medium heat. They took a lot longer than the directions said to get all the moisture out. Seems that some may have lost some bits of foam in the dryer too. The main issue to me was the consistency of size, it seems that all were not a full 12” square and they varied in dimensions from one to the next too. This made it pretty tough to make a symmetrical pattern. Overall seems to be helping with acoustic reflections, but yah don’t expect too much out of these.
Dennis van Kampen
The batch of foam I received is cut straight, no dents, dimples or gashes. Did not spot a single imperfection. I thought I was given the 1inch panel by mistake (like many reviewers) but after soaking in water they expanded evenly to 2inch thickness.I didn’t found the smell as bad as some claim it to be, but I also have an air freshener plugged in. I have yet to install them but so far I’m very pleased the panels I have are even, cut straight and consisting out of a foam with a higher density than I was expecting. I was afraid wringing the water out could deform or damage them, but they are firm and dense enough to maintain its shape just fine.
Kai Vilhelmsen
I have used Auralex in the past and used the same wedge cut configuration- I actually like these better! They have a bit of weight, and there seems to be more density to the foam. They come vacuum sealed in a 3 to 4 inch across bag that contains all 12. Follow the directions and like magic, out comes 12 2 inch panels. I am sold.

WARNING. do NOT wet and ring them dry with bare hands. Use gloves. I started wetting the foam in my sink and squeezing them dry before the washer. My hands instantly became SUPER dry and started burning. Not fun I do not recommend.

These acoustic foam panels are quite amazing. I expanded them in warm water and them put them in the dryer, they all expanded just fine. They are just about exactly 2" thick, just as advertised. Using them in my at-home studio, they do a great job reducing the echo.I had a problem with two of them being a little deformed, and not looking quite right. I messaged the seller (fstop labs), and they sent me a replacement right away, I am super happy with their customer service!I totally recommend these to anyone trying to do any acoustic work at home or in a studio!

great product and great seller

I have installed the panels for 4 months, I am going to tell how I feel about the panels: The thickness is as stated, however, you have to soap them in water and dry them with dryer in order to let them expand to their original thickness, it was kind of too much work. It was easy to install anyway, just use glue, but the size was not accurate, some bigger some small, you may have to cut it. Also it is not soundproof, if you want some soundproof products, don’t use this one.
Matt Brown
These panels are a fraction of the cost of competitors and accomplish exactly the same thing. They stick to the wall with 3M VHB double-sided tape perfectly and they absorb sound well. Definitely will be getting more of these.

6 of the 12 panels did not decompress from the airtight packaging

It had been a while since I had last purchased acoustic panels. I bought them to build a temporary recording studio in my warehouse. Bought a small quantity to test, will buy more to finish the job. I forgot how they work. When you first get them, they are vacuumed sealed and compressed significantly. You have to get them wet, ring them out, and then the directions say put them in the dryer for 20-25 minutes on medium. The water alone makes them puff out and take shape, but I found that it probably required on my dryer 40 minutes to get them dry. Other than that, they are great.
Amazon Customer
It works good to reduce echo and if you see 1 star reviews saying that they aren’t thick at all, they are idiots not knowing how to read instruction. U need to soak in water and they instantly become 2 inch thick. Then I put them in the dryer for 30 minutes and they are ready to use.
P. Brady
Affordable as heck! Took well over 25 minutes to dry at medium heat like the directions suggested.

The product got shipped in within six days from the US to Malaysia. It was packaged in a vacuum bag, meaning that all 12 panels that I bought to either be inflated with water or leave it for a day or two (according to the card readily available inside). I chose the former, and it eventually expanded back to its original shape (although it left a distinctive smell in my bathroom). Just in case you're wondering, yes, you can wring and squeeze it while they're wet to get the water out.I honestly have no complaints. There's no tear or defects to note. And being an acoustic foam, it will work well to reduce the echo of my room. I will definitely come back to this seller for more, assuming that I have more money to spare. Our currency is relatively weak compared to the US dollar, after all, and shipping costs are more expensive than the items I bought.Still worth it in the end, though.
Turtalia
The 3M stickers that the sellers recommend are worthless. The pieces were falling off the wall by the end of the first day of having them. Just buy the adhesive spray.

Some of panels did not expand properly- the panels were thinner than what was needed so they were returned without use.
Christopher Largen
Noise suppression works well however don’t expect this to be aesthetically appealing. Some don’t expand from the initial packing and remain anywhere from .5in to 1in. Some are even a gradient .5in to 2. Luckily I use a green screen in front of it so it doesn’t matter too much how they look. 6 out of the 24 are like this.
Steven Brady
Some of the panels have not expanded to a 2" thickness after several days of being opened.
Amazon Customer
Only three of the panels fully expanded and on the edges of one of those it still wasn't fully expanded. Followed instructions on slow expansion which says should take 24-48 hours. I have left them out for 2-3x that duration and no movement. Dryer is inop or I would test the water and dryer expansion method. I may have gotten a bad batch but 1/4 not expanding is not good odds.

These panels dampen the sound well!I made a home office, and the door alone was terrible at masking sound. With the panels, you can still hear sound from the other room but you can't really make out the words unless you really concentrate. I can finally be on the phone without getting distracted by noise on the other side.I ended up soaking them in my bathtub, ringing them out, and then putting them in the dryer on medium heat. It took about 60 mins for them to dry fully, and I kept checking every 10 mins. As you can see, drying didn't damage them at all. I used Scotch double-sided mounting tape for indoor interior and it sticks perfectly.Very happy with the panels!
Greg Morris
The foam panels themselves are not 12x12, they are more like 11.5x12.5. This makes 'alternating' the orientation oddly shaped. To make matters worse, the 'depth' of the foam is NOT 2" consistently. All the foam panels I received seem to be broken down into 3 categories, 2", 1", and 1"->2" over the length of the panel.Overall I'm pretty disappointed.

Pour les rendrent en 30sec pleine expension, prendre l’aspirateur et passer dessus. Les bouts qui reste mince, la cause est la coupe a chaud! Pincez le dessus et le dessous et les separer! Ils auront la meme forme que les autres!
Ian Strudwick
These items come in a compressed state and it takes 24 to 48 hours to expand. You can wash them and instructions come with it to make them expand.I bought double sided tape which I did not have much luck with so I used decorators caulk which is great and easy to get off if needed. The product itself is good and does take away some irritations on the sound booth application I used it for.Good Luck

This was a great product and Exactly what I was expecting. However in the packaging instructions, because these things come vacuum packed they say it takes 24 to 48 hours to receive gai exactly what I was expecting. However in the packaging instructions, because these things come vacuum packed they say it takes 24 to 48 hours to return to their original size. Although, an alternative that it gives you to this is to get them wet and to put them in the dryer on medium heat for 20 to 40 minutes. I went ahead and did this and it was a big mistake. I have a fairly new decent dryer and it did not get them dry completely. So I pulled them out and let them air dry and it still took several days for all of the water to get out of the foam. So in the long run it actually took longer to get them to a useable status because of how much time it took them to dry. Other than this small issue I give them five stars all the way.
Gqsmooth1981
This foam is perfect. Do not listen to the people who didn’t follow the directions. If you follow the directions you’ll get the same result as I did. Be sure to rinse the foam in water, wring it out, and put in the dryer for 25-30 minutes for best results.I got these foam pads because I work from home full-time and the room I setup for my office is small and echoes. I spend 8+ hours per day on the phone talking to people so clarity is of the upmost importance. They looked like junk when you first get the foam panels out of the vacuum sealed bag but as long as you follow the instructions they will end up being 2”’s thick. These really took the echoing from my room and minimized it. Please see attached photos.

I almost didn't buy these because some of the bad reviews. Well these acoustic panels are fantastic. They are exactly as describred. They do not smell at all. To regain full size they say to rinse and put in the dryer or leave sit out for 2 days. I left them sit out for 2 hours and they went back to full size, easy. I am super happy with these and will be buying more soon.
Owilde
I've read many reviews about this products expansion. I let them sit for 2 days and they didn't seem to expand much. Then saw a post saying just out them in the dryer for 20min on low. I didnt want to use the water method. Worked perfect. All expanded to their spec size
Janet H.
Well firstly I thought I was getting 24 (there was a picture showing 24) and realized after I placed the order that it was in fact 12. But when I looked back at the ad it clearly states that you can get either 12 or 24 for 39.99. ???That being said I was anxious to see them and would have been happy w 12 had they been what was advertised. There is no way that these are 2” thick. Well out of the 12, I would say 3 maybe 4 are 1”-1.25” thick. No where near 2”!!! (I waited a day after unpacking to make sure they had expanded all the way)This is pathetic. Not what I paid for! If they were all one thickness it wouldn’t look so bad but come on!! This is another big fail. I wrote to the vender and spoke to Amazon about the 12/24 discrepancy but felt I had to write a review on the thickness. You get zero stars for this! Buyer beware!!
Amazon Customer
I read a lot of 1 star reviews that said these didn't expand back to full size. Bought them anyway because the prices is great. Gave them a bath when I got them. Soaked each for a few minutes and made sure they were waterlogged. Wrung out thoroughly and let dry for a few hours then took a hair dryer to them. They were still a little damp when I put them up (used command strips) but so far, only one fell, that was on the ceiling. Instructions recommended putting them through the dryer, maybe should have tried that since I was impatient.Put up 22 of the 24 and the difference in my office (basically a 3 meter cube) is way more than I expected. There's still a bit of echo but I'm waiting on some bass traps that should take care of the worst of it. Would recommend and definitely go for the 24 pack cause it's the same price as 12, at least for now lol.

Came in shrink wrap packaging. Placed in washer for rinse & spin and then dryer for 20 minutes. Came out perfect!! Placed on doors and reduced noise significantly.

They’re okay, size and color is a little inconsistent but they’re not bad for a home mix room
Bradley F.
Perfect. Can’t beat the price. Fill up your sink and leave them in for 10 minutes, hand dry and then put then in your dryer. They will expand.
Roberta
I bought these to set on top of my kitchen cabinets (up high) to cut down the noise level in the kitchen. And they do! Very happy with them.

Perfect for what I needed them for

This is not intended for sound PROOFING a room!!Packaged very well and arrived quickly.I haven't mounted yet so I can't comment on the sound reflection reduction etc. They didn't stink too bad when I opened, it did take a full 48 hours to expand. I only opened and let them sit separately. My only cause for a loss in star is they are uneven (see photo) some panels are very thin and slightly misshapen. Not only is this aesthetically displeasing but it will no doubt lose some sound absorbing quality. ( four panels.)Otherwise I am very happy.
Bear Airol
I bought 3 sets of this to sound treat my living room for twitch streaming. They came vacuum sealed as promised, and they all puffed out nicely after following the directions. For the first set we wet them in a bath then put them in the dryer for 20 minutes, but for the other 2 sets we just put them in the dryer for about 30 minutes and we got the same result. Poster adhesive strips weren't able to stick to the foam very well, but I think that's fairly standard, the adhesive strips we got were a bit cheap anyhow. We stuck the foam to a cardboard backing and used adhesive strips against that, and it's sticking against the wall just fine! Sound absorption and such is all standard, the foam is cut straight, and I would buy these again!
Chad Baniecki
After installing these, I immediately noticed a difference in sound acoustics. Now my only concern is how many more do I need to get.
Amazon Customer
heading description 12 count. I only received 8. Not good needed 12 to cover the whole door.
KK
Regardless of the highly compressed state they arrived in, and following the enclosed instructions, the panels never expanded to anything useful. After a week, I simply sat patiently, gently tugging along the edges until they were full size--which isn't saying much. (Some of them were just a wee bit fuller than others.) They are thin, flimsy and not very good at dampening sound. They might work when glued on a V-shaped board and used as a mini audio 'booth'. But they were inexpensive. You really do get what you pay for in this case.
Daniel Krumm
Solid buy, great value. Be aware, they may come vacuum-packed, and need to puff back up to size. Soaking, squeezing, and drying works, but they retain a lot of moisture, so expect to dry them a lot. I hung mine too early and had to redo it due to moisture. Don’t cut corners on that or you get to do it again!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Vaig deixar-los a l'aire lliure 48 hores, però no es can expandir del tot. Per això he utilitzat un secador ilde cabell i el resultat és excel·lent.

Despite other reviews I had no problem restoring my foam to its original thickness!… Just follow the instructions!!!

Once you get them back to size they look good but getting them to expnd is a huge pain. Would like to see them shipped another way that doesnt require soaking in water to get them to original size
seattlematt
good quality cuts and after soaking in hot water, dry in 2-3 days in winter gets rid of Mids to high reflection points but you would be better off using Moving Blankets to attack the lows.
Russ J
Good product - placed on top of cabinets in our kitchen with tile floors and tall ceilings. While it did not remove all of the echoing (large room next to large family room) it did help somewhat. Product, once soaked in water, wringed dry and put in the dryer, popped right up to the intended shape and size.
Gameboy
After following all the supplemental instructions that was sent to me, I noticed that my foam panels were beginning to come off and tear. It is not enough to warrant a return but I'd probably consider another brand.
Nicholas Barczak
I allowed the foam to expand for 3 days, but it never quite expanded to the rated 2 inch thickness. This is more like 1.75 inch foam.
Anthony Johnson
The 2 stars are because the look cool. These do not work. I put them up in a small room and they did not help with the echo at all. Again the room is a very small den area. I didn’t expect them to sound proof the room but I was hoping they would help with the acoustics. Definitely not the case.
John Higgins
Great sound absorbers as described!
Mahlon Moore
I am a free-lance voiceover announcer and I have a studio at home, which is not perfect acoustic-wise. So I purchased a bunch of these panels a while back to "sound proof" my guest bedroom, er, I mean, my home studio. They worked fine and I realized I needed some more, so I bought another set. I use adhesive to attach them to a sheet of thin plywood and then tack that plywood to my walls. That way, I don't have to glue the tiles directly on the wall - which might cause damage. They're working like a champ and really helping to dampen the noise.
Ian Gray
My wife, Bluegrass artist Claire Lynch, needed a table top microphone baffle for her recording studio. Local music stores wanted over $100. We put one together with a post- election yard sign, curving its wire support frame into a semi-circular, free-standing column, and folding the foam-covered, corrugated plastic sign into the frame. Works just fine to diminish traffic noise from the street, making my wife much more productive and happy. If she's happy, I'm happy !

I would like a refund. This product was terrible compared to another I previously bought. The pads weren’t the same thickness and were extremely uneven. No where near uniform with each other and super thin
Amazon Customer
These come in compressed form! (As it states in the ad content). It says to wait 24 hours for decompression. Came back after laying them all out for 24 hours and they had not decompressed much at all. Comparatively, these are 2 inch thick Foam but after 24 hours, they were still only at about 3/4 to one inch. Instructions say add water and dry if they don’t decompress. I used a clothes steamer and they instantly responded and decompressed. A good tip for those who want to fully Decompress them quickly.Haven’t installed this yet but will do so tomorrow. The quality looks good and there doesn’t seem to be any strong order. I am marking this at four stars just because of the inconvenience of extra labor to decompress them.
BzHstyle
VCRS
These are good, but they come compressed so you have to wet then then let them dry then you can adhere them, a bit inconvenient.
Fernando Garcia
Adhesion has yet to be tested, I'm debating to return it and wait for new items. As far as value for the money, you're not getting what you paid for, value loss vs time crunch. Thickness is lacking, 1/2-3/4in to be exact. If I had ordered 1" thickness and I received these it would've been a steal and rated 5 stars. I allowed them over 48 hours to expand.
Jacob cline
I enjoy these, one downside is that they aren't perfect squares so if you change up the design you start having weird spaces to fill
Amazon Customer
Not bad for the price and fast shipping. I have acoustic tiles on my band room walls by Auralex (which are the most expensive and best quality) and tiles by Mybecca which in my opinion are just as good as Auralex but much cheaper. Now I just added these tiles to the same walls and you really can’t tell the difference. I received these compressed like everyone else has mentioned. Upon removing them from the packaging I was slightly concerned whether they would bounce back to original form and mesh in with my current tiles. I used suggestions from a couple different reviews. 1st, I put them out on my deck in the warm sun for about an hour or two at which point they just about regained normal form. 2nd, I put them in my clothes dryer on low heat for 5 mins and they were finally at normal form. I used 3M 77 spray adhesive to stick them to my basement walls as I always have and they stick perfectly!! I don’t see a need to let them sit for 24 hrs or soak them in water and dry them out when all you need to do is warmly heat them for a bit. I recommend these for sound studios or band rooms for the price and ease of installation.
hector quintero
Very nice I recommend get a buket with hot water and put them in one by one . Then spin them on your washer or by hand let them dry in the sun and there perfectly
Austin Duffy
Ordered the 12 pack and was happy with it for my wall. Decided to order another set for the rest of the room, but when I received the second set, a number of the pieces were uneven and appeared to be cut incorrectly. Might not be a big issue for most, but it does affect how well they align on your wall and whatnot. Just bummed out that it's inconsistent.
Amazon Customer
These ones are vacumm sealed and you have to follow inscructions to correct the squished pieces! When I first got them I left a bad review and was upset because the 12 pack I bought before was nothing like this. After water soaking and drying though they popped back up. Amazing product.
Mr. David
I bought these to add sound reduction coming through a door to a cupboard containing my air handler. I downloaded and decibel-meter app to my phone and the noise level was reduced considerably, by about 5db.Excellent.
Nicholas
I cut the vacuum seal open, soaked them all in the tub, drained them, put em in the dryer and they look just fine to me, got what I paid for. No rips tears or mis-shaped squares. Idk why other people had problems.
Joel
I got 11 instead of 12 also the foam were all different thicknesses and some were thick on one end and super skinny on the other
Jason
So I order two 12 packs and about 4 of the panels were only 1 1/4 inches after waiting two days to rise.
English L. Eaves
These are my first acoustic tiles so I have nothing to compare them to. They definitely do the job and dampen sound in my recording space. I used 3M 77 adhesive to affix them to my wall and that did create a very firm hold. So far so good.
Kimk166
Came well packaged and after separating the pieces, none of them had any sort of holes or defects. Great product!
Fetti F Peet
These tiles will get the job done. They are the exact measurements promised if you follow un packaging instructions. I let mine sit for 12 hours and they were back to full size. Pretty good. Despite all this they are on the lower end of quality. This is my second time buying these and I still have the first batch to compare. I got the first set from a different seller for a comparable price. Seller nearly doubled so I tried these. Although they seem to be made from the same material they are not the same quality. This one feels half as dense as the others I bought. I would reccomend these if you only need a few like for a wall, ceiling or a bit of echo reduction. If you need to do a whole recording space get something denser. I would get these again but would be very scrutinous before hand.

Excelente producto igual al de la foto, es bastante resistance y grueso
Ken
I was tempted to soak the panels with water as some reviews said, but since the instruction on the package said to leave the panels for 24hs, so that's what I did. When I first opened the package, some of them were so flat and deformed, but they all fully returned back to the size expected.I put all of them today, and looking good.
Arthur L Attocknie
The foam is a good thickness and density and very soft. From the minor sound treatments I used it for, it has been a great product so far.
Cat
This foam was great for the price. Just follow the directions and it will expand to the specified size. It's frustrating to read the negative reviews showing the vacuum sealed bags. It made shipping fast and cheap to package that way.It took me about 2 hours to wash 24 squares and 8 bass traps. The hair dryer was taking too long so I put them in the dryer like others suggested. I just put it on delicate mode and ran about 8 pieces at a time for 10 minutes each. I was sure to wring them out well before the dryer. Foam is delicate, don't be rough with it and it will work out well. I didn't have one piece get damaged.I mounted my foam on foam board and used command strips for hanging to not destroy my walls.I've always had auralex in my work studios but I don't wanna spend that for home and I feel this meets my needs.
Jeffery M. McNulty
These are the 1" thickness not the 2" as advertised. The product description is incorrect and Amazon does not sell 2" version. The pictures are of 1". Also, they aren't very dense but otherwise do the job if you want to go on the cheap. Not a lot of sound absorption here is what I'm saying.
Michael L Ginsburg
I am considering throwing mine in the washing machine due to the horrendous fumes that are put off. Mine arrived compressed into tightly-wound saran wrap. After opening, I had to put them in the garage as they were moist and had a strong chemical smell. The next day they were not much better.
Tharin
These are a little softer than any others I ever bought and they are actually 1-3/4 inch thick, not two inches, so the vendor lies in the description. That's the bad stuff. For a cheaper price you get a cheaper product. Also, this stuff is NOT soundproofing. None of it's ilk is soundproofing. Vendor lies there too. That said, these are about one single ounce a piece. That means you can hold it to a wall with just about anything, like 3-M 77 spray, brads, staples, push pins, drywall screws (they're already charcoal gray), and wet paint. I would avoid anything in sheet form (like tape, 3M sticky foam pads, stretch mounting tape) because those things just suck at sticking to foams like this. The attached pic is foam backed up with almost dry and thinly sprayed spray adhesive (77) on a semi-gloss wall. I can peel the foam squares off and wipe any residual cement with acetone/nail polish remover.Putting the squares up that way leaves me a cable chase to hide wiring. Going up onto the ceiling like that also saves me from bothering to get that very expensive and really unneeded corner foam. No nails or other fasteners and the stuff ain't gonna fall off. This stuff doesn't perform sound treatment miracles, but it does go a long way towards taming sound to make it clearer, particularly in small rooms. It doesn't even come close to any soundproofing nor transmission attenuation, but when you use it to help out YOUR ears or YOUR mic, it does a good job. But so do shelves, bookcases, draperies, picture frames, teddy bear collections, and such.
Kory
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So I bought 2 packs of these and when I opened the packages, they came smooshed and deformed. I separated them and laid them all on the floor and waited over night and by the morning, all but 7 had expanded to their original size and look perfect. For the 7, I’ll just soak them in water and blow dry them to get them to correct size and form. Side note, for anyone buying these to block sound from coming in or out of a room, that’s not entirely what acoustic foam is for. It is meant to disperse sound waves to reduce/eliminate sound echo and reflection. I’ve had auralex foam before, and these honestly do not feel that much different from them. For the price, they are a great buy and I will definitely be buying more. I posted pictures of the ones that fully expanded, and a before and after of one of the 7 that didn’t fully expand.Edit: so after soaking and draining just one piece, it took form immediately and looks great. Didn’t even blow dry it yet.
Gotta go!
THese came very compressed down to around 1/2". I didnt want to put them in water and dry them, too much hassle so I set them in the direct sun and they fully expanded within 2 hours. It was a hot day outside 80s and dry. Used velcro on the corners to apply to the inside of a mechanical room door. Helped with the high frequencies.

Fairly decent for the low price, its a good starter for someone who doesn't have alot of money to spend on super good rolls

As described and I didn't have to wait 24 hrs .also measures out to 2inches so I'm happy .
Chris S.
These are great,Yes they come compressed, no they will not magically expand if you just let them sit out - this isn’t a memory foam mattress. I soaked them in water and popped them in the dryer on low heat for 10-15 min. They came out perfect!
Daquan M.
Good stuff, better than the other stuff I've purchased on Amazon that was more pricey and "same size". Would recommend.

I bought this under the impression that it included some 3M tape. When I received the product, the instructions said to use an adhesive spray to install them. Wish you would’ve said that before I purchased them! Very disappointed by that. However, the foam seems alright and fully expanded in 2 days.
